About Snow Factor
Snow Factor is Scotland’s newest indoor real indoor skiing resort. Over 1500 tonnes of snow is housed within the Snow Factor building, on which you can ski, snowboard, sledge, and there is even the possibilty to ice toboggan. The main slope is 200m long, which is the longest in the UK. To ensure the very best snow every day, each night a flurry of snow is sprayed on the slope via specialist snow guns. In essence, the slope is housed within a giant freezer where the snow on the ground is -12 degrees Celsius and the air temperature is a chilly -5. This means be sure to Wrap up warm.
Since it is pretty cold you need to wear warm waterproof clothing, and this includes gloves. Wellington boots are a recommendation for sledging. You can hire jackets and salopettes for £5 at the venue, and Wellington boots from £3. You have to bring your own gloves and these can not be hired.
Skis, ski poles, snowboards, ski and snowboard boots, ski helmets, and sledge are all included within your slope booking price. You can bring and use your own skis and snowboard but you cannot use your own sledge.
